1/24/10 - SuzySaid.com - Laura Ingalls Wilder
Yes, Suzy knows it's cold and wintery outside. But she has good news! The Westport Country Playhouse has a whole series of family festivities to keep you and yours busy, warm and indoors until spring. The upcoming events include shows for all your theater-goers. Laura Ingalls Wilder brings the pioneering childhood of one of America's most beloved author and her spirited family to life in early February. In late February, bring the little ones to see the sweetest story ever told about a "humble" pig and his prolific arachnid advocate, Charlotte's Web. E.B. White's "treasured tale, featuring mad-cap and endearing farm animals, explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship." Your littlest ones will enjoy March's musical presentation of P.D. Eastman's classic story, Are You My Mother? And April will bring spring showers along with a dramatization of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I Have a Dream is a "compelling dramatization of the life and times of one of the most influential and charismatic leaders of the "American Century" and the Civil Rights Movement." This is a show for the whole family.
