Featured Restaurant:
La Villa Trattoria

3 Bay Street
Westport, CT

Telephone: 203-557-4810

La Villa Trattoria features fine cuisine and excellent wines based on the cooking of various Italian regions A native of the Puglia region of Southern Italy, Chef Mike returned last year to the site of the original La Villa with an exciting new menu that combines the finest and freshest ingredients -- including free range and organic foods -- heart healthy and low fat recipes, as well as special dishes prepared upon request. In his first year, in addition to seriously expanding the wine list, he has created some dining offerings that are finding favor among businesspeople, commuters, night owls and families. He has designed lunch and dinner menus with sufficient variety and value to attract frequent diners - particularly commuters who like to stop often for dinner on their way home. He keeps his kitchen open late for the convenience of theater and moviegoers who don't want to rush to eat beforehand. He invites over-scheduled families to pre-order their special favorites, and then to come in, relax and let him cook Sunday dinner. Chef Mike will take 20% off the check for Westport Country Playhouse patrons who present their ticket or ticket stub for a performance on that same day. La Villa Trattoria is located at 3 Bay Street, just a quick stroll down and across the Post Road from the Playhouse. It is open for lunch Tuesday through Friday from noon 'til 3 p.m. Dinner is served Tuesday through Thursday, from 5 'til 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, from 5 'til 11 p.m., and Sunday from 4 'til 9 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Monday. For reservations, call 203-557-4810 or visit www.lavillawestport.com. Sornatale suggests that diners let the restaurant know they'll be seeing a show at the Playhouse when making your reservations so that they can help allow enough time for a relaxing dining and getting to the show on time.
